Throughout Ben Duskin's battle with Leukemia, he played computer games, which helped him get through the treatment process. Make-A-Wish granted his wish to design a video game that would be helpful for kids like him who have cancer -- a way to fight back and relieve some of the pain and stress involved with treatment.  A hero stepped forward: Eric Johnston -- and his employer LucasArts fully supported his efforts. Graham reined as "Slugger's Kid" in 1997.

The Portland Seadogs do great fund raising for Maine Children's Program every year, with their "Strike Out Cancer In Kids" program.
